Is a Level Media Studies Important Enough to Become Compulsory?
With the world that we live in today, one fueled by mainstream media and big corporations, I believe it is important that some form of a level media studies is implemented into compulsory education. Many a person is ignorant of what goes on behind the scenes of today’s mainstream media because they have not taken in the knowledge that would be gained from studying a level media studies. Some people may think that a level media studies is a course for someone who does not have anything better to do, or it is specifically for someone who wants to then go into media productions, but they would be wrong in thinking this, and wrong in thinking that it is not worth the time. It teaches you a lot about the world that we live in today, one that is governed by mainstream media and big corporations trying to get us to believe in them or part with money for products.

Phlebotomy Training was the biggest obstacle I ever experienced in my career. Working at a financial firm that collapsed in 2008, I knew that I had to look for something stable to get me back to work. I never once though about the medical field, and for 1 year I tried to get a job in the field I was already in. Eventually reality set in and I knew I had to find something fast or risk losing my home. Luckily I had a colleague that was taking phlebotomy and he suggested I enroll in his class before it filled up. I had run out of options so I took the leap and enrolled the very next day. What a choice that was! I ended up passing my class, getting my certification, and 3 years later I am now a phlebotomy supervisor in a job that I absolutely love and wish I had found earlier!

If you have an upcoming interview, you need to consider your Ps and Qs. Manners cost nothing but are worth a lot. I’m sure your parents brought you up to talk with respect and act with dignity. Well they taught you that for a reason. It’s important – and it’s especially important when it’s important. And there’s little that’s more important than securing your financial future with a job. So remember to be polite at your interview.
Now, when you’re nervous, it’s really easy to forget about these little things, so get ready to calm yourself down before you attend your interview. Take a few, deep, slow breaths. Place your mind in a happy location within a pleasurable memory. Get your head out of the interview and into a cool, calm place.
When candidates are nervous, they typically talk too fast, too quietly and at too high a pitch. Be prepared to deliberately slow the pace of your diction. Be organised enough to keep the tonality and timbre of your voice at an optimal level for what you want to achieve.
At a recent medical interview course that I went to, they also told me about following the lead of the panel, with regards to social rules and etiquette. Smile, say hello to everybody and shake their hands firmly. Sit up straight and look at the person who is talking to you.
Good luck in your job interview!!

My sister is dedicated to becoming a certified nurse. However, she’s a mother of two, and it’s a job that takes up an awful lot of time. It seems she’s found a great solution though: CNA online classes. I’m willing to bet that you can do almost anything online these days. This is great, because with her husband working long hours as well, she can spend a lot of time at home with the kids while doing her work, and nobody will have to pay for a sitter. Also, the kids won’t feel neglected. Then, when she’s all certified, she can start the job search which should be a lot easier due to her certification; this will make her much higher in demand. Then, when she does get a job, it will likely be a more high-paying one due to her newly obtained credentials, and she can easily pay for a sitter or a nanny while following her dreams. I’m very proud of my sister; she’s always been a hard worker who makes the best of what she has, and this is no different.
